OUR PLAYHOUSE

Grandma’s House Patterns:

The original Grandma’s House playhouse was created for our eldest daughter Stephanie by her grandmother and dad almost 30 years ago. The initial foundation was built out of wood. The original “A frame” structure has shingles made of scrap fabric from quilts and little girl dresses dating back almost 50 years. Stephanie’s house has held up beautifully. Through the years it’s been home to her younger brother and sister, Matthew and Kelly, cousins and friends. Grandma’s great grandchildren Ander, 14 and Brinn, 11 (Stephanie and Adam’s children) have been the home’s most recent residents. Ander (at 16 months old) is the little cutie in the house pictures. “Grandma’s House” was named for the incredible woman who designed and created this beautiful gift. We wrote the pattern for the “A frame” house so that we could share her legacy with others. Since then we’ve created the fort/castle, gable, duplex and little house based on Grandma’s original concept. Today, Stephanie’s house is in safekeeping awaiting our future grandchildren and great grandchildren!

Grandma’s House Patterns come with complete sewing instructions, ready to cut templates and PVC frame directions. They have been designed so that only basic sewing and fabrication skills are required. No special tools or training is needed.

Grandma’s House makes a unique shower gift or a wonderful surprise for a special child’s birthday or holiday present. It also makes a great group project for fund raisers, raffles and the classroom or preschool. Through the years Grandma’s House will offer many fond memories and happy times for its residents. Our houses are designed to be portable, storable and machine washable. Our Duplex Pattern (two standard A frames side by side with courtyard between) picture is temporarily unavailable.
